Prof. Dr. Necmettin ERBAKAN
Born in 1926, in Sinop. He was graduated from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University in 1948. He received his PhD from Aachen Technical University in Germany, 1951. He served as Chief Engineer in development of Leopard tanks.
Abdullah Gül
Born in 1950 in Kayseri. He was graduated from Faculty of Economics at Istanbul University. He received his PhD in 1983. He worked in foundation of Department of Industrial Engineering at Sakarya University and gave lectures there. He became associated professor of “international economy” in 1989. He served as economist in Islamic Development Bank in 1983. He served as a member of parliament for Kayseri in Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) from 1991 to 2007. In this duration, he was a member of the Plan and Budget Committee of the TBMM. Gül was the Spokesman and the Minister of State in the 54th government formed in 1996. He led the Reformist Movement and competed for the Chairmanship of the Fazilet Party in 2000.
AKUT
This foundation helps to search and rescue people either lost or having an accident in hard to reach areas such as caves and mountains and natural disasters. It has been founded in 1996 as the first NGO in the field of search and rescue in Turkey. AKUT has been given the statue of “public interest foundation” by Cabinet of Ministers” in 1999.
Kızılay
“Hilal-i Ahmer Association” is the old name of foundation which is also known as Turkish Red Crescent. Turkish Red Crescent is such an aid organization that works on the basis of basic principles of International Red Crescent and Red Cross Movement such as humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, Voluntary Service, unity and universalism.
Mehmet Şevket EYGİ
Born in 1933, in Zonguldak. He was graduated from Galatasaray Lisesi then Faculty of Political Sciences at Ankara University. He published the Bugün Newspaper daily in 1970s and Yeni İstiklal and Büyük Newspaper weekly. After shutting down of these publishing houses he published many papers in many media organ particularly Son Havadis and Son Çağrı. He still works as columnist for Millî Gazete.
Yaşar ÇAĞBAYIR
Born in 1945, in Denizli – Serinhisar. After he was graduated from Department of Literature at Bursa Training Institute he started his career as a teacher in Halkapınar. He studied Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Anadolu University in 1991. After working on it for 30 years, he completed “Ötüken Türkçe Sözlük” in 2006. He started to write Turkish Language magazines such as Yeni Söke Gazetesi, Beşparmak, Sarızeybek and Çağrı. He received letter of commendation for his work named “Söke” from the Aydın Governorate.
Avni ÖZGÜREL
Born in 1948, in Ankara. He graduated from the Department of Public Finance at Faculty of Economics and Commercial Sciences. He has started in Ulus Newspaper as a journalist in Ankara. In this time, he worked in newspapers such as Milliyet, Akşam, Yeni İstanbul, Ayrıntılı Haber and Yankı magazine as well. In 1981, he wrote many texts of documentary film and scripts for TRT particularly Belene, first film script reflecting the condition of Bulgarian Turks.
Prof. Dr. Yılmaz BÜYÜKERŞEN
Born in 1936, Eskişehir. He was graduated from Academy of Economics and Commercial Sciences in 1962. He received his BA in 1966 and PhD in 1968 from the same academy and also he became professor in 1973 in this university.
Sadrettin KARADUMAN
Born in 1966 in Malatya – Doğanyol. He came to Istanbul for education in 1978. He was graduated from Faculty of Economics at Anadolu University. He served as Chairman of Bakırköy district organizing of National Youth Foundation in 1988 and Güngören district founding chairman in 1992. He became Chairman of Refah Party Güngören district in 1994 and member of Fazilet Party Istanbul provincial board of administration in 1999.
Tahir AKYÜREK
Born in Konya – Derebucak in 1959. He was graduated from Faculty of Law in Ankara University. He served as lawyer in Bağ-Kur (Occupational Pension Fund) in Konya Provincial Directorate and secretary-general in Konya Chamber of Commerce. He served as chairman in various think tanks. Then he worked as self-employed lawyer. He has been mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality since 2004. He is married with 3 children.
