Ünal ÇEVİKÖZ ( Ambassador, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs )
He was born in Istanbul in 1952. He graduated both from the Department of English Language and Literature in 1974 and the Department of Political Science in 1978 of Boğaziçi University. He completed his master’s in the Department of International Relations of the University of Brussels. He took part in positions such as the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Moscow, Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Bregenz, Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Sofia. He served as the Ambassador to Azerbaijan between 2001-2004, and the Ambassador to Iraq between 2004-2006. Since the January of 2007, he has been working as the Deputy Secretary, responsible of East Europe, Caucasus, Asia, Africa and International Security Affairs. He is married and has 2 children. He can speak English, French and Russian.
