MESS (Turkish Metal Industrialists’ Union)
The Turkish Metal Industrialists’ Union (MESS) has been providing many services in different fields to more than 250 employer members, which it represents as Turkey’s largest employer union, since 1959. Serving at an important point at the intersection of Europe, the Middle East and Asia, MESS works for the advancement of industrial relations through constructive dialogue and knowledge sharing. MESS; It is an ecosystem that directly employs 210 thousand people and indirectly more than 1 million people. MESS members contribute more than 60 billion dollars to the economy every year. There are many global and many domestic brands among MESS members who represent leading sectors of the economy such as automotive, white goods and iron and steel. MESS best represents its members in the collective bargaining process. It makes compromises with labor unions by considering their rights and needs. In addition, it develops projects according to the needs and demands of its members. MESS plays an active role in regulating working life and ensuring work peace in line with the common goals of the industrial sector and the benefit of the country.
MESS is the world’s first employers’ union accepted as a member of the World Economic Forum (WEF). In addition, MESS has a wide national, regional and global ecosystem, which is located in institutions such as the International Association of Labor and Employment Relations (ILERA), the European Metal, Engineering and Technology-Based Industry Employers Council (CEEMET).
