She started journalism in  1976  in Anatolian News Agency. She worked for long years in the Newspapers of Tercüman, Milliyet and Hürriyet. She also produced documentaries and news analysis for  national TV channels , Kanal D,  CNN Turk and TRT. Turkish Journalists Association has awarded her as “The Journalist of the Year” between 1986 and 1989. In 1994, she was awarded as the “Anchorperson of the Year“. Between 1995 and 2005 she served as the Bureau Chief of Hürriyet Newspaper and CNN Turk TV in Greece. In 2004 she was awarded with the  “International Peace and Friendship Award”. Between 2005-2007 she worked as the Bureau Chief of Hürriyet Newspaper in Ankara. She has two published books, named “Troubled Years ..Greece-Turkey” and “Benazir”. She wrote her last book, the biography of Rauf Denktas Turkish Cypriot Leader a short time ago. She is the  Political Editor and  Writer of  Sabah Newspaper and gives Journalism Lessons in Gazi University.
