Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yaşar OCAK ( TOBB ETÜ )

He was born in Yozgat as a child of an artisan family in 1945. He graduated from Yozgat Imam Hatip High School in 1963 and entered Istanbul High Islamic Institute (now Marmara University Faculty of Theology). After finishing the institute, he entered Istanbul University Faculty of Arts  and he graduated from Ottoman Institutions and Civilization Department in 1971. In 1978, under favour of French Government scholarship, he finished his Doctoral degree in Faculty of Human Sciences in Strassbourg (Marc Bloch) University. He became professor in 1988 as a staff of Hacettepe University Department of History.  After his retirement in 2013, he took his place in TOBB University of Economics and Technologhy staff as a professor.
