Susilo Bambang YUDHOYONO ( President of Republic of Indonesia )

 

H.E. Mr. Yudhoyono, the sixth president of Indonesia, is the first president who elected democratically. As a son of an army officer, Yudhoyono entered the army after graduated from the Indonesian Military Academy in 1973. As an officer, Yudhoyono acquired valuable experience abroad, undertaking the United States Army’s Infantry Officer Advanced Course in the early 1980s and training at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College in In September 2004, H.E. Mr. Yudhoyono won a landslide election victory over Megawati, garnering 61 percent of the vote, and was sworn in as president on 20th of October. He is married and a father of two children.
