Yaşar ÇAĞBAYIR ( Researcher-Writer )
Born in 1945, in Denizli – Serinhisar. After he was graduated from Department of Literature at Bursa Training Institute he started his career as a teacher in Halkapınar. He studied Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Anadolu University in 1991. After working on it for 30 years, he completed “Ötüken Türkçe Sözlük” in 2006. He started to write Turkish Language magazines such as Yeni Söke Gazetesi, Beşparmak, Sarızeybek and Çağrı. He received letter of commendation for his work named “Söke” from the Aydın Governorate. He also received certificate of honor for his work named “İstiklâl Marşı’nın Tahlili” from Söke Chamber of Commerce. He was elected as “the first sycamore of Söke” with his studies in the field of education and research across Söke. He was awarded “Yörük Ali Efe Prize” by Aydın Municipality and Aydın Provincial and District Educational and Cultural Foundation. He was awarded with a plaque for “Ötüken Türkçe Sözlük” by his friends in 2007. Çağbayır received appreciation plaque from the board of trustees of Cultural Centre Foundation in 2008, “Hamdullah Suphi Tanrıöver Cultural Centre Cultural Gifts” from Head Office of Turkish Centre and “Hulusi Akşit Special achievement award” from Community of Aydın Journalists. He is married with two children.
