İnan KIRAÇ

Born in 1937, Eskişehir. After he graduated from Galatasaray Lisesi he went to England and studied at City College of Business in London. He started his career in Koç Group in 1961. He was assigned to General Directorate of Otoyol in 1966. He became the general director of TOFAŞ in 1970. He was firstly assigned as deputy vice president of Koç Holding for TOFAŞ then president of automotive group. Kıraç who was Koç Holding’s chief executive officer (CEO) in 1994, retired in 1988.  Kıraç is also president and member of many organizations and foundations. He was awarded Legion d’honneur badge’s rank of “Officer”  by State Minister of France in 1997 for serves as the founder and president of Galatasaray Educational Foundation and role in foundation of Galatasaray University and Turkish-French relations. He founded research institute on Mediterranean Civilizations Antalya Kaleiçi Museum in 2000. In 2003 he opened Pera Museum by Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation which he has founded with his wife and Istanbul Research Institute in 2007.
