Dr. Recai AKYEL ( Comptroller General )
Born in 1965, in Erzurum. He was graduated from Department of Public Administration at Ankara University Political Sciences. He received his BA from Department of Public Administration at Gazi University Institution of Social Sciences and PhD from Department of Business Administration at Çukurova University Institution of Social Sciences. He served as Kaimakam in Pozantı, İscehisar, Çamoluk, Solhan, Gölyaka, İmamoğlu, Kızıltepe and Elbistan. He published introductory books of towns in which he served. He published papers about topics such as “Afet Yönetimi”, “Üretim ve Kalkınma”, “Performans Denetimi”, “Yönetim ve Kontrol” etc. He gave lectures about law, environment, administration and urbanization in universities. He started to work as Tokat Governor in 2007 and elected as “Governor of the Year” in 2008. “Tokat Üretiyor Project” was awarded in Public Project Category in our country. In 2009, he was elected as Comptroller General. He speaks English. He is married with two children.
