Prof. Dr. Kamal M. ABDULLAYEV ( Rector of Baku Slavic University )

 

Prof. Dr. Kamal ABDULLAYEV born in Baku in 1950 is an Azerbaijani scientist, expert in Turkic philology, critic, writer and playwright. He became Head of Russian and Theoretical Linguistics Department in 1990-1992 and Head of Theoretical and Azerbaijani Linguistics Department in 1992-2000 in Baku Slavic University. He is a Member of Azerbaijani Writer’s Union Executive Committee, Member of Editorial Board of Literary Journal “Azerbaijan”, the Chairman of Azerbaijan Federation of Badminton, Member of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Member of Turkish Language Society, Member of International Personnel Academy and Member of Russian PEN Club. Prof. Dr. Abdullayev who is author of more than 100 articles, 10 monographs and manuals on Turkic, Azerbaijani and Theoretical linguistics, literary, critics has been Rector of Baku Slavic University since 2000.
