İbrahim Halil ÇANAKCI ( Undersecretary of Treasury of the Republic of Turkey )
He was born in Elazığ in 1962. After graduation from Elazığ High School, he graduated from Faculty of Political Sciences of Ankara University. He started to work as assistant expert in 1986 and as expert in 1992 in State Planning Organization. Between 1989 and 1991, he assumed Master degree on economics from Michigan State University in USA. He was Chairman of Conjuncture Department in State Planning Organization between May 1994 and December 2000. He worked as Chairman of Economic Assessment Department in Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency until 10 December 2002 from December 2000. Mr. Çanakcı who was appointed as Second Chairman of Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency on 11 December 2002 started to serve as Undersecretary of Treasury on 5 May 2003.
