Prof. Dr. Rahmi KARAKUŞ

Prof. Dr. Rahmi KARAKUŞ ( Sakarya University )

He was born in Sinop in 1962.  He graduated from the Department of Philosophy of Istanbul University. He completed his master’s in Turkish Islamic Philosophy at Istanbul University too. He wrote his doctoral thesis on Philosophy of Religion at Selçuk University. He worked as a lecturer at Gaziantep University and as a research assistant at Harran University. Between 1996-1999 he served as the Assistant Professor at Sakarya University. Between 1998-1999 he was the Head of the Department of Pedagogy of Sakarya University and then he obtained the title of Associate Professor Doctor between the years of 1999-2004. In 2004 he assumed the title of Professor at the same university. Still working as the Head of the Department of Philosophy at Sakarya University, Karakuş is married and is the father of 3 daughters.
