Dr. Necmi DAYDAY

Dr. Necmi Dayday, earned a Masters degree (Cum Laude) in Nuclear Engineering at the Technical University of Istanbul (1969), a second M.Sc. degree in reactor physics at the Institute National des Sciences et Techniques Nucleaires (1971), Saclay, France and a PhD. degree (High Honor) in reactor physics at the Faculté de Science, Centre d’Orsay Universite Paris-Sud (1973), France.

From 1969 thru 1978 he was senior research staff at the nuclear engineering department of the Turkish Atomic Energy Commission (TAEK) Çekmece Nuclear Research and Education Centre (ÇNAEM) in Istanbul. He served as a member of the TAEK Nuclear Safety Committee and Nuclear Power Plant Site Selection Committee (1975- 1978). He has taken an active part in the selection process of Akkuyu, Sinop and İğneada nuclear power plants (NPPs) sites.
