Prof. Dr. Ali BARDAKOĞLU

He completed his primary education in Tosya. He graduated from Istanbul Imam Hatip High School in 1970. He graduated from Istanbul Higher Islamic Institute in 1974 and Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1975. After teaching and working as a trainee judge for a while, he was appointed as a Fqih assistant at Kayseri Higher Islamic Institute in 1977. In 1982, he gave his doctorate thesis named “Icare Contract in Islamic Law” at Atatürk University, Faculty of Islamic Sciences. He was appointed as an assistant professor of Islamic Law at Erciyes University, Faculty of Theology. He received his associate professorship in 1986. For a certain period, he served as the Head of the Department and Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Theology at Erciyes University.

He was appointed to Marmara University Faculty of Theology in 1993. In 1994, he became a professor in the Department of Islamic Jurisprudence. He served as the Deputy Director and Deputy Dean of Marmara Vocational School of Theology. He was in England between 1991-1992 and in the United States in 1994.

He participated in various national and international symposiums as a negotiator. He was appointed to the Presidency of Religious Affairs on May 28, 2003.
