She stepped into the profession in 1988, worked in various newspapers and magazines at different stages. She worked as a columnist in Milliyet Group, Meydan Newspaper between 1990-1996, and in Akşam Newspaper between October 1996 and July 2008. Between 2001 and 2005, she served as the Washington Representative of the Akşam Newspaper.
