Şarık TARA ( Honorary President of the ENKA Holding )
He was born in Skopje in 1930. He graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of the Istanbul Technical University. In 1957 he started his construction and contracting activities, establishing the ENKA Collective Company. Tara, honors member of World Economic Forum Advisory Council, Chairman of the Turkish-Japan Council since 1986, member of the High Advisory Council of TÜSİAD and the Chairman of the High Advisory Council of Turkish Contractors Association, is at the same time performing as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ENKA Holding Investment Co. He was given honorary doctorate by Istanbul Technical University in 1984, by Gebze Institute of Technology in 2002, by the Moscow Medical Academy in 1933. And he was given the Award of Merit by the Union of International Contractors in 1992.
