He graduated from 9 Eyl\u00fcl University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Cinema and TV (1986). He did his master\u2019s at East Anglia University (United Kingdom, 1991) and his doctorate on Turkish cinema and Turkish modernism at Middlesex University (United Kingdom, 1998).<\/p>\n<p>In his student years, he worked as the United Kingdom representative of the newspapers\u00a0<em>Yeni \u015eafak, Zaman\u00a0<\/em>and<em>\u00a0Channel 7<\/em>. He has work as a columnist at the newspaper\u00a0<em>Yeni \u015eafak<\/em>\u00a0since it was founded.
