He graduated from <em>Painting Department<\/em>\u00a0of\u00a0<em>Istanbul State<\/em>\u00a0Academy of\u00a0<em>Fine Arts<\/em> in 1975. He also studied Cinema Television in the same Academy in 1979. He started to work as screenwriter in Man Ajans. He worked as writer and creative director in Grafika Lintas between 1980 and 1984. He established Sinegraf film production company in 1984. He has started to work as the director of TV series and ful-length movies since 1987. He was awarded the Golden Orange Awards with \u2018Yalanc\u0131\u2019 in 1994 besides movies such as \u201cGerilla\u201d, \u201cDeli Y\u00fcrek: Bumerang Cehennemi\u201d, \u201cPars: Kiraz Operasyonu\u201d, \u201cUzun Hik\u00e2ye\u201d and \u201cA\u015fk K\u0131rm\u0131z\u0131\u201d. He also directed TV series such as \u201cS\u00fcper Baba\u201d, \u201cS\u0131cak Saatler\u201d, \u201cDeli Y\u00fcrek\u201d, \u201cEkmek Teknesi\u201d, \u201cKurtlar Vadisi\u201d, \u201cAc\u0131 Hayat.
