Mehmet \u00d6zhaseki began his education in Kayseri and studied electronic engineering at Hacettepe University. He completed his education at the Istanbul University Faculty of Law.<\/p>\n<p>He was elected to the Melikgazi Municipality in the March 1994 elections. In the 1994 elections he was elected Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and he reelected four times as a mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality. He is also known as the Honorary President of Kayserispor and Kayseri Erciyesspor.
