The Foundation has become the member of INSARAG, International Search and Rescue Organization of U.N. In 2011, AKUT assumed the title of \u201cMid-sized Search and Rescue Team\u201d after passing the exam under control of INSARAG observer. AKUT, member of the International Rescue Dog Organization (IRO) worked in the disasters in Greece, Taiwan, Mozambican, India, Iran, Pakistan, Haiti and Japan. The Foundation works with principle of volunteering and\u00a0\u00a0 Nasuh Mahruki has been serving as founding chairman of board of directors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This foundation helps to search and rescue people either lost or having an accident in hard to reach areas such as caves and mountains and natural disasters. It has been founded in 1996 as the first NGO in the field of search and rescue in Turkey.
