He has worked as diplomat in Shanghai Consulate General and Beijing Embassy of USSR. Since 1985, he has been Manger of Institute for Far East Studies of Russian Academy of Sciences. Also, he is Chairman of Scientific Board for Peace, Security and Development Issues in East Asia, Chairman of Foundation for Chinese Philosophy Studies, Chairman of Foundation for Cooperation among Asian and African Countries, Chairman of Friendship and Cultural Foundation of the People\u2019s Republic of Chine and the Democratic People\u2019s Republic of Korea.
