After graduation from University of California Civil Engineering Departmant in 1971, he assumed MS degree in 1975 and PhD degree in 1977 from the same university on nuclear engineering. He worked as faculty member in Uluda\u011f University between 1978-1982 and Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University between 1982-2003. Also, he served as Member of Nuclear Safety Committee of Turkish Atomic Energy Comission between 1983-1984 and Consultant to the President of Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Organization (TUBITAK) between 2000-2001.
