He was educated in marketing and human resources at Boston College. He attended the Owner\/President Management Program at Harvard University. He is now the chairman and chief executive officer of Do\u011fu\u015f Holding, the parent company of the Do\u011fu\u015f Group of Companies. The Group operates mainly in service industries, including: Financial Services, Automotive Distribution, Construction, Tourism &amp;Leisure, Media, Real Estate and Energy. \u00a0He joined the Group operations in the Financial Sector in 1991 by founding Garanti Securities. In three years under his management, Garanti Securities became one of the largest in over 100 brokerage houses in Turkey. In 1994 Mr. \u015eahenk re-structured Garanti Securities into an Investment Bank of the Group where he acted as the Executive Vice-Chairman.
