He is an outstanding artist by his voice and the style of playing \u201cba\u011flama\u201d, that is a Turkish traditional stringed instrument. He left primary school after only two years. He played in wedding ceremonies as a \u201ck\u00f6\u00e7ek (dancer youth)\u201d. During this time, he learned to play violin. He traveled to Ankara with aim of learning to play ba\u011flama from Mustafa \u00c7a\u011flayan, a ba\u011flama master. With his help, he joined the radio house. He has many successful compositions including tunes and lyrics.
