Oğuz HAKSEVER ( Journalist-Writer )

He was born in 1957, in Gaziantep. He had enrolled to the Faculty of Economics at Ankara Academy of Economics and Commerce in 1974. He had received his bachelor’s degree from University of Texas A&M. In 1979, he had started to work as a journalist at TRT Presidency of News Department. He had reported news from Gulf War and Civil War in Yugoslavia. From 1991 to 2000 he had worked as a journalist, editor and news presenter at Show TV, Channel 6 and ATV. After 2000, he has worked as news manager at NTV and presented various news shows. Between 2003 and 2010, he had presented a show called “And people” where he had commented on various news photographs under the title “That moment”. He had published two books and both of them are called “That moment”. He is still working for NTV as editor, new presenter and moderator. He was awarded by Turkish Journalists’ Association, Progressive Journalists’ Association and Radio Television Journalists’ Association at various times. He was selected by Turkish Language Association and Radio and Television Supreme Council as “The newscaster speaks Turkish in the most fluent way” two times, in 2005 and 2009. Since 2007, he has been working as an academic in Istanbul Commerce University and giving lectures called “Radio and TV Journalism” and “TV Journalism in Globalization”. He is also giving lectures and speaking at various conferences about TV journalism. He is marred with one child.
