The Strategic Vision Awards 2009, given by the Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies since 2006 on a regular basis, have been declared. The awards are given in eight different categories offered for Statesman, Politician, Bureaucrat, Scientist, Corporation, Businessman, Artist and Journalist-Writer. The award ceremony will be held in the Mardin Atatürk Cultural Center at 20:00 on December 11, 2009. .

TASAM Strategic Vision Awards have been presented to statesmen, politicians, bureuacrats, businessmen, public corporations, artists, journalist-writers who share our country’s strategic vision to increase the respectable status of our country in its region and in the world with their distinctive opinions, actions and scientific approaches and who work hard to get Turkey over the level of contemporary civilizations since 2006, with the purpose of honouring them for their great efforts. 

Moreover, individuals from foreign countries are also awarded at this ceremony on the basis of their friendship and cooperation with Turkey.

TASAM has obtained the mission of contributing to the process of Turkey to move its cultural and historical values ahead of the era within the perspective of civilizations by adapting an objective and scientific attitude ever since its establishment. Within this scope, it has carried out many studies that produce a strategic vision for the future; it has embodied these studies in numerous projects, congresses, forums, platforms, communication Networks, symposiums, conferences, seminars, books, magazines and reports.

Chairman of TASAM, Süleyman ŞENSOY states that; “We need corporations and individuals having strategic visions ever more than at all times at this era which is one of the breakpoints of history. Corporations, individuals and administrators with a depth of knowledge have vital importance at this difficult process in which the balances and parameters are redefined. The main idea behind these awards is to encourage our development model that depends on human resources.
